Kevin has been working on Long Island homes since 1982 — over four decades of hands-on experience that started with learning how to sweep a job site properly and built into a career spanning structural renovation, custom millwork, and finish carpentry across Nassau County.
He launched Creatively Done Homes Improvements Inc. in 1986 and spent the next 35 years renovating homes from the studs out — setting steel I-beams, building custom cabinetry as a bench man in a millwork shop, and finishing everything from hardwood floors to marble fireplace surrounds. As a home improvement contractor, Kevin always stressed one thing above everything else — cleanliness. You can be the most talented carpenter on Long Island, but if you leave a messy job site, that’s what the homeowner remembers. Kevin instilled that standard in himself, in Matthew, and in every employee who worked with him. On larger remodeling projects, the crew routinely power washed patios and walkways as part of the final cleanup, while Kevin’s wife and her friends handled the interior — dusting, cleaning windows, and scrubbing bathrooms — making sure every homeowner walked into a finished space that looked as good as it was built.
Then New York shut down construction in 2020.
Overnight, the business Kevin relied on to support his family and employees came to a complete stop. No warning, no timeline — just zero income. As a husband, father, and business owner, everything was tied to one company. That moment forced a hard realization: no family should depend entirely on a single income stream that can be shut down without notice.
